Q: Can I send more items then listed for my Keepsake Quilt?

A: Yes, we will do our best to incorporate all of your special items into your quilt.

Q:  Do I have to choose a design for my quilt or will you choose one for me?

A: No, you don’t have to choose a design for your quilt; we can choose one for you. However, before choosing, we will ask you questions so we know what design would best suit your quilt. Here is a post on the 3 Musts Before Choosing A Keepsake Quilt Design.

Q: Where do I ship my quilt top, batting & backing for longarming services or clothing items for my Keepsake Quilt?

A: We are located in St. Thomas, ON, and an address will be provided at the time of order. If you live within driving distance, you can also arrange a scheduled time for drop-off at our home location.

Q:  Are the Quilts quilted?

A:  Yes, we attach the back of your quilt with our Millennium longarm machine using  *free motion quilting

* free motion quilting design adds a real quilting look to your quilt. Other companies just sew straight lines to attach the backing, but at QuiltsForKeepsake.com we want your quilt to look amazing! ….how else will you get all those oohs and aahs 🙂

Also, quilting through your quilt is much better because it stabilizes the quilt. If we just straight-stitch around the blocks of the items, the quilt may lose its form and look baggy.

Q:  Are the quilts washable?

A: Yes, your quilt is as washable as the clothing items you provided. However, if some of the items are dry cleanable only, you may have to dry clean your quilt. We recommend you wash your quilt in cold water. Instructions on caring for your homemade quilt will come with your completed quilt and are available on this website.

Q:  Do you make regular baby quilts from new fabrics I can give as a gift?

A:  Yes, we can make baby quilts from any fabrics you supply. Contact Us to discuss options.

Q:  Can I order another type of quilt from a pattern I like or fabrics I choose?

A:  Yes it is possible to order a quilt other than our 3 main types of quilts.  Contact Us to discuss options.
